I-bus, integration for buildings and homes all with one wiring system.
I-bus is a home automation integration system which combines door phone functions and a home alarm monitoring system all in a single terminal.
I-bus can be used to make a variety of door phone, video door phone and mixed systems. Suitable for use in individual villas, I-bus really comes into its own in large residential compounds with several buildings and up to 2000 users. With a high-performance wiring, I-bus is the efficient answer to complex installations needs with multifarious requirements. It can combine normal video door phone functions with many other features for integrated building communications (including CCTV and other centralised concierge functions).
The Abitat terminal designed specifically for the system is a control unit for monitoring various technological functions: intrusion alarm, fire alarm, gas detection and communications.
I-bus and Abitat interface perfectly and provide many remarkable extras for evolved building and apartment management. The devices simplify security device monitoring and decrease the number of peripheral devices installed in each apartment because all functions are centralised in a single monitor.

Better control in complex situations
I-bus ensures all the monitoring functions required in large residential compounds: where security is key, here is a system which includes services for monitoring and securing even very large areas.
The switchboard turns into a control centre
The switchboard evolves with I-bus: the concierge desks (up to two) turn into control centres capable of communicating with all the building and all the apartments. The switchboard is equipped with a Tline door phone (also fitted on transparent base) and a PC for monitoring the common zones and providing a variety of functions, including call filtering in day/night mode: calls are pick up by the concierge who will send a picture of the visitor to the user to ask for confirmation before letting the visitor in (an Abitat monitor must be installed in the apartment for implementing this function). If the user is not at home, the switchboard can store a picture of the visitor and send a message to inform the user to go to the terminal and check the caller.
The switchboard also becomes the reference point for all building users: all emergency calls (intrusion alarms, gas alarms, etc.) are relayed from the Abitat terminal directly to the concierge for immediate intervention, thus providing a service with a high added value.
The dialogue with the switchboard may be directed also to secondary positions with communication
functions: contact can be established at all times with the bar, the swimming pool or common areas
to ask for services (such as deckchair bookings, table bookings, tennis court booking and bar services).
CCTV
The video door phone cameras can be controlled from the apartment terminals and from the switchboard PC. Common areas can be monitored, even without having been called, and the panel turns into a high-tech eye.
Four cameras with cycle function can be installed in zones most at risk (garage, entrances, lifts, etc.) for extra building security.
The advantages of a full-optional system
I-bus can provide a number of additional functions, already integrated in the system.
Conversation privacy, for example, is available without needing to add other devices.
The system runs an automatic check and shuts down all communications lasting longer than 10 minutes. This prevents problems if a handset is left off-hook by mistake. A function to prevent accidental opening may be programmed to provide extra functions for increasing collective security.
Apartment stations are identified by means of physical association and logical ID. Fixed-length numeric codes are used for electrical locks activation and privacy is ensured by not displaying the code on
the readout.
The system is provided with self-check functions to monitor operation of the peripheral devices: the locks are
controlled in pulse manner to prevent damage if the door opening button is kept pressed down.
The implemented protections ensure total immunity to electromagnetic interference of static
and pulse type.
I-bus: versatile and easy to program, flexible and totally installer-friendly.
Up to six addressing methods can be used to respond to system needs on a case by case basis.
I-bus was designed to provide top performance functions all already included in the wiring system to decrease the number of additional devices. A fully integrated video and audio system can be created without other additions. Auto-on function from the apartment station to a calling station may also be implemented, again without needing to add other wires.
Up to eight door phones or video door phones can be connected to the same apartment station using a simple apartment concentrator. Other features include very simple programming using a dedicated terminal or PDA.

Intrusion alarm
The video door phone terminal is the intrusion alarm control
centre: it monitors detectors, sirens and zones. There are two possible configuration modes: simultaneous and delayed. The monitor stores alarms and sends indications to the concierge switchboard. Furthermore, Abitat can interface with a telephone dialer and send alarm messages to programmed numbers.
Video surveillance
Abitat can monitor the outside of the home by connecting to panels camera and up to four additional pre-set cameras:
a simple switch is used to select the area to be monitored.
Technological alarms
The Abitat de Luxe video door phone terminal can control fire and gas alarm peripheral devices and send alarm signals directly to the switchboard.
Panic alarm
A rescue request function can be implemented. This control is extremely simple: a dedicated button sends emergency requests to the switchboard for immediate interventions. This service may be remotely connected: in this way, the request may also be sent to another apartment on the upper or lower floor.
Communications
In addition to integrated functions, the system manages
communications with the concierge switchboard (receiving and sending messages) and can store received
missed calls.

Abitat Classic monitor
Abitat Classic monitor is used to manage the standard video door phone functions: it may be used as secondary apartment device or alternatively the large screen (5.6”) can be exploited to display four cameras and thus provide an integrated video surveillance system. A handy extra, even in villas.

Abitat Classic monitor
A panel which interfaces with the building
I-bus fits a dedicated Domular 3000 Evolution panel: robust and compact, the panel can offer all the functions needed for managing systems with a high user density.
Up to 2000 apartments can be connected with a name directory using names, fixed codes or logical codes. Ready in seven languages (Italian, English, French, Russian, Turkish, Hungarian, Greek), the directory module is provided with a backlit graphic readout for displaying welcome messages (one default message for each language and one editable message) and user codes. The pivoting colour video module also works as outdoor camera and can be activated at any time (even without having received a call) to monitor the entrance area.
Up to nine main calling modules can be connected in the system with up to 99 secondary modules and four secondary stations on the same column. The panel may include either name buttons or an alphanumeric keypad according to the solution chosen for the compound. High code management flexibility: up to 10 door opening codes can be programmed along with one auxiliary output code. This programming flexibility means that a system access control system can be integrated. Time limitations can attributed to the codes for creating a system which filters and monitors accesses. The electric lock activation time can be programmed (from 1 to 10 seconds) for extra safety. The auxiliary output can be programmed in similar manner (from 1 to 255 seconds). Finally, communications can be established with the concierge desk simply by pressing a button. The Tline one and two-family panels can also be used in villa installations.

The I-bus system is compatible with the entire Tline door phone and video door phone portfolio.
Ideal as secondary apartment terminals, with I-Bus the Tline the door phones or video door phones may
dialogue in parallel.
The video door phones are activated at the same time when a call is received so that the visitor appears on all monitors without needing to pick up the handset or activate the hands-free function.
The Tline range may also be chosen as main terminal if no additional services are needed (alarms, intrusion alarm, concierge calls). In this way, users are free to chose the styles and solutions they want (mixed systems can be installed) without affecting the performance of the other apartments.
A normal door bell outside the door can be replaced with a Tline one-family video door phone panel: in this way the monitors will show who is calling when the door bell rings.
